I had such a warm and comfortable stay at Casa Fungi. I was out exploring most days from around 7 AM until 10 or 11 at night, so having a cozy place to come back to made a huge difference to my experience in Mexico City. If you’re traveling solo and looking for a quieter hostel where you can actually rest at night instead of a typical party atmosphere, this is a great place to stay.

The location is perfect and the staff is incredibly friendly. The hostel is beautiful, comfortable, and has a smoking terrace, which is a great bonus. Excellent location. The rooms are comfortable and the facilities are good too. The only thing to keep in mind is that there is just one shower and two bathrooms, which can be a little inconvenient when the place is busy. Other than that, we enjoyed it enough to come back!

It’s also a great place to work from, with fast and reliable Wi-Fi throughout, and having a kitchen is a big plus. The only downside is that there are only a few shared bathrooms, so you may need to wait when the hostel is full. The staff is super friendly!
